I don't think GW is really concerned with losing 50 TDs my good sir. I mean they scored 9 TDs in the opening game
. I will grant you that GW hasn't played ANYBODY the last couple scheduling cycles which really hurt them especially last year against Courtland where they almost lost a big lead against a very good team and when they played the big boys in Salem where they looked lost when adversity faced them. With that being said, I think Coach Anderson has done a remarkable job. He scheduled Vance because they almost mirror LT. They don't run the same offense (LT of course is a power option team while Vance is more spread) but both teams have exceptional athletes and both have 6+ D1 prospects in their program. Anderson really wants to play the best to prepare for the Salem's, the Sherando's, the JF's, and possibly the Dinwiddie's and the LT's. Anderson and his team has state championship on their mind. GW has given up ZERO offensive touchdowns this year including the 4 scrimmages they've played in and I think it's HILARIOUS that you said they couldn't beat Ponax lol (they struggled against a decent at best Courtland defense that GW's "inexperience" running backs torched this past November).... Going into the season the question was GW's sophomore QB. He's still on the bubble but he's played like a 3 year starter so far. For Heaven's sake, Salem returned only returned 3 on offense! With that being said, it doesn't mean a thing that just because you lose a big time player or two that you just say, "well we lost Coleman Foxx I guess we'll go 7-3 and lose in the 2nd round" or "We lost Malik Clements and Malek Dandridge, season's down the drain"...It doesn't work like that. A REAL program has players who will work hard in the off season to step into that role and that's what GW and Salem (since I used them in my example) has done this year. That losing 50 touchdown excuse is really irrelevant and is getting old.
