Galax won over NHS today. Game did not start off well for Northumberland as Bay Wiggins (top goal scorer) got rocked by a Galax kid’s head and had a possible concussion. This happened less than three minutes in. Top playmaker played on a bad hamstring injury, not good v a 4 or 5 time. Champ.
There goes the main offense as NHS struggled to score all season. Galax got the 1st goal on a breakaway goal 14 min in. Then got a pk at the top of the box as the ball bounced and may have touched a player’s hand and arm that was laid against body with no Galax players around. He was going to kick which he did - Come on man, States? You could call it but l....incidental contact and no where near the goal. That changed the game. Third goal was a nasty shot indeed.
All good- Galax should win v Auburn. Auburn has way less offense than NHS. But they have big football boys that tackle the stars a lot! lol
Galax should win 5th or 6th title.
