As in College Football, next week fits most teams as rivals. W&L vs The Beach, Essex vs Rapp in the River Bowl, and Northumberland vs Lancaster. As Seedings are starting to pair up for Region A, what are your thoughts on this week?
Game of the Week? First time these two have played on a Friday night in a LONG time!
W&L (7-1 & 2-1) @ Essex (7-1 & 3-0) Senior Night
Per Rappahannock Times (10/18)
Stats as Follows
Rushing
1. W&L- Kelly 892 Yards
2. Essex Dameron 555 yards
Passing
1. W&L Bell 1283 yards
4. Essex Ashlock 620 yards
Receiving
1. W&L JJ McNeil 859 yards
2. Essex Hundley 287 yards
Scoring
1. Essex Dameron 11TDs
3. W&L Kelly 9TDs
4. Essex Johnson 8TD's
4. W&L J.J. McNeil 8TDs

With W&L leading the NND in Stats and sporting a 7-1 record, can they pull off the win over the equal record Trojans? Will the Trojans remain strong and look to win out the NND?
Coaching-
HC Todd Jones returns to Essex after coaching the Eagles for two seasons
HC Joe Taylor- played against Jones/Essex in early 2000's to win State Championship
AC Kenny Waters- Former Essex Trojan's Offensive Coordinator 5+ years under HC John Fulks, now with W&L's Taylor

Rapp (3-5 & 1-2) @ Northumberland (5-3 & 1-2) Homecoming
Rumors of Rappahannock's QB may be out play for this week? Not sure.
Can N'land's Palmer begin to post impressive numbers the final two games of the season? The Indians have been on the road for 5 straight weeks and were 2-3.

Colonial Beach (5-3 & 2-1) @ Lancaster(1-7 & 0-3)
Is the Beach looking to secure the #2 spot in the NND and hoping for an Essex Loss in the final two games? With the #3 spot in the NND (Lewis) with at 517 yards Rushing and #2 spot in Scoring with 11 TDs, can the Red Devils contain the single wing offense? will the starting QB #4 and RB #30 return this week from injuries?

Rappahannock is Essex traditional rival but over the years (in Football),Washington & Lee has become our biggest rival in this sport. Both schools and fans look forward to this game every year. The crowd at this game will be 10 times bigger than next weeks Essex/Rappahannock game. With both teams at 7-1, the hype around the coaches & players, along with the game back on a Friday night...I’m looking for a crowd about the size of the Northumberland@Essex homecoming game a few weeks ago.
