NND update???

It's a bit of a jumble......

Remember that tournament seeding is based on a points system using overall record and not district record, plus the NND adds Rappahannock County to create its conference.
Lancaster and Northumberland look to be locks for the top two seeds.
Looks like Washington & Lee and Rappahannock will be either three or four.
Essex appears to be fifth although Colonial Beach could grab that spot due to multiple losses to teams in higher classifications.
Rappahannock County appears to be seventh.

Keep in mind that RC plays 4 3A teams in the Bull Run..

Central, Monroe, MPark, and Warren County and IIRC has won 3 of those games (Park, Warren County once)..don't know how that affects Conference standings down that way...

Re: Keep in mind that RC plays 4 3A teams in the Bull Run..

Yes. with the NND awarding points for losses to higher classified schools Rapp County could certainly be higher than 7th. Only time will tell...............

I was told the seeding played out like this: (as of yesterday morning)

1a district win 7 pts
2a district win 8 pts
3a and above district win 9 pts

no points for losses/ties and no points for non district wins.... can someone clarify this
if there are RRC conference meeting notes where this was decided or whatever was decided, I would like that link.

seems the power ratings change every year....

Here's the rating system............

Points system - 7 for 1A win, 8 for 2A win, 9 for 3A win or
above AND 0 for 1A loss, 2 for 2A loss, 4 for 3A & above loss.

Then Rapp County will get a few points...

under this system. They are the only 1A in the Bull Run and they play a full Bull Run Schedule- (9 teams in the Bull Run)..I know they beat at least one 3A and I think beat MPark twice-although I can't be sure of that.

Hope all is well.
