Your honest opinion of magna vista

I'm not "Noke", but am a NS fan. IMO Vista is the second best team we played this year. Salem is at a whole other level, but I honestly can't see any other team in 3A beating MV. You guys have tremendous speed, excellent QB play, an RB that is as tough as he is fast, and a pretty solid defense. I can see JM or Lafayette putting up some points against the "D", but it will be tremendously difficult for either of them to outscore Vista. Good luck and let's keep the crown in the West!!!

A great bunch of kids that play their hearts out, that will never give up until the clock has run out, you'll have a very tough team the qb is a very tough kid and I hope we can bring the title back to 3A west

I totally agree Magna Vista aside from Salem is the best team Northside has played this year. They showed a lot of character hanging in there when they were down 21-6.I think they will do really well next week. The only weakness I saw is in the kicking game. Plenty of speed and size. Throwing the ball so much you probably will have to live with a few turnovers but the offense has enough weapons to overcome that as they did tonight. Best of luck to Magna Vista.

I agree. I really thought that last missed PAT was gonna come back to haunt us. Usually mv gets a comfortable lead, and forces the other team to start doing things out of their norm, but that didn't happen against nside. I was really impressed with nside quickness and gang tackling on defense. Usually when mv gets to the corner they are gone, but nside was just as quick. I think the longest run was at the end by jac. Just like you aside from gw that was the best team mv has played this year. Hopefully these tough games will make Mv stronger, and get that 1st ever state trophy, and keep the title in the west..

No.. came close several times.. 2002 they had a really good team and coach jones and heritage put them out, but it wouldn't have matterd because mv had an illegible player.

Made state semis in 2000(got blasted by Salem in the Hole),2002(lost to Heritage 34-27 in the Hole but wouldn't have mattered:had to forfeit 11 wins that year),and in 2003(got beat by Wm. Fleming 13-8 at Victory Stadium in Roanoke). Have got close but no championships yet in football, a couple in boys basketball and one in girls bball.
