Norfolk Christian posted their 2nd straight shutout defeating Fredericksburg Christian 42-0. Quarterback Alvante Lawton threw four touchdown passes while running for another. Lamereon James turned two short Lawton passes into long touchdowns (39 and 59 yards).

Lawton led the Ambassadors to touchdowns on their 1st three drives rushing for a 1-yard score after James put them in position with two long runs. Lawton then found Andrew Allgood with a 20-yard strike before ending the half with a 35 yard touchdown to James with no time left on the clock.

James started the 2nd half like he ended the 1st half taking a misdirection play-action pass down the sidelines for a 59-yard touchdown reception to make the score 35-0.

The showdown between two of the top teams in the VISAA DII rankings turned out to be a dud with Fredericksburg Christian missing their most dynamic performer Aaron Johnson who watched the game from the sidelines. Without their top offensive player, the Eagles rushing attack was limited to only 40 yards on 26 attempts with only 78 passing yards.

The Norfolk Christian defense was dominant. The Ambassadors front four of E.J Armstrong, Cam Thompson, Ben Whittington, and C.J Frantz provided constant pressure on the quarterback while an athletic secondary led by Phillip Crowley, Lamereon James, and Brian Spears contested every pass. Fredericksburg Christian completed only 5 of 22 passes.

Crowley also came up big with a blocked punt which led to a touchdown run by junior Isaiah Rice who finished the day with 40 hard fought yards.
