This team is full throttle heading into the biggest clash of the season with Appomattox. The Doug Smith Classic should be fun. Get your seats quickly and be ready from opening kick.
Like I said before, State champs. Nothing else to say..I am just going to let the scoreboard speak . Who's next, oh yeah Appomattox is ...#allgoodstreaksmustcometoaend.
Don't get ahead of yourself, north side was really bad they never got off the bus and didn't want to be there. Still got a long season to go with many good teams on the schedule
Heritage is good and will win lots of games but until they are really tested no one knows yet. They were good and went all the way to state against Briar Woods and got their butts kicked
Wikki...we played the state runner up in a scrimmage and beat them 33-7 in one half. We blew up Northside and Fleming. We aren't playing around this year. Calling it now, we going undefeated. Appomattox next.
Not from what I saw last night you won't go undefeated. Lots of flaws to exploit.
you are so right,Heritage is an ok team,but we all have to realize that wf, and northside, arent really that good of course they won big,,they have not really been tested yet and will be soon,it will not be cake_ walk for long,hell why didnt bradley step to the plate like amherst and other schools and play some real teams like salem,dinwiddie,hopewell, eastern view,stafford, so imo...they have yet to be battle tested, play some good teams so u can really see where you stand,it will be a real let down when you come into friday night and you get you butts kicked. like briarwood did to them in the state championship, well i guess we will see how things go, i believe amherst and lca brookville and jf can beat heritage,these teams are no cupcakes,stay tuned...
Not defending @Pioneer 4life by any means but, that Briar Woods team might have been the best high school team in VHSL history. They were definitely one of the top 3 teams in VHSL history! Right along with the 1997 and 1998 Hampton teams.
@Pioneer 4life that's a bold statement so early in the year! Especially since you guys haven't played a good team yet. Not saying Heritage isn't good or that they won't win a lot of games but, it's hard to gauge just how good a team is when playing against sub par competition. Northside and WF MIGHT win a combined total of 6 games this year. The seminole district will be the true test for you guys.
You are not playing around? Their schedule is weak. Schedule tough teams at beginning of season and see what happens. They schedule weak teams, time will tell. You are just a little premature with where you think they will be this early in the season. I like Heritage, have several friends that are big fans, but they don't even say the things you do
wow lets give you a pat on the back, do u realize before the turn overs the game was only 14-7 and they sat Overstreet mid way due to hamstring,and you talk about they blew up Northside,and Fleming wow you guys played two team that were not good at all, and will not make the playoffs Fleming will go 0-10 Northside 4-6.....Appo can beat heritage doug knows how to play the game will be a good matchup.
Heritage got spanked by GW 3 weeks ago and GW lost to Amherst last night.....
When Heritage lost to Briar Woods, it was a farce. Briar Woods should have been playing in a higher classification. Look up the student enrollment at that time; there was a big discrepancy between the two schools.
We will just wait and see...when we beat Appomattox next week, I am sure it is because we have a bigger school. My statement still stands.
No. IF you beat Appomattox it will be because you beat us that night. Better team???? Possible. Appomattox isn't close to the same team they were the past two seasons, the team that established that "thing"you keep referring to.
But you can't deny that you are a larger school. This is a 3A verse a 2A match up. The 2A won the last two years. This year.....Friday night will tell.

But they weren't. Still Heritage should have been in the game some, not even close

Out of the 69 posts you have had so far, have you had one yet where you weren't bragging about how great your team is? You could have the best team of all time, but you certainly aren't representing your school well with your braggadocios attitude. But go ahead and do you and stay as humble as you are now.
And since when is it a thing to brag what you did in a scrimmage? Some teams go to scrimmages to win, some go to see what they have in all of their players. And from what @DanvilleSportsHead said here, you got "beat" in a scrimmage with GW, how come you didn't bring that point up? Maybe because it didn't fit your argument that you have the best team in the history of HS football?
With both teams having played less than stiff competition, I believe it is a matter of who executes the best and wins the line of scrimmage. In a close matchup as this one, neither team may dominate any aspect of the game, but winning the individual matchups and showing depth could prove the difference. After two games for each and so much familiarity between the teams, the margin is razor thin.

But Amherst played a lot tougher teams, that speaks volumes. That kid from Heritage is a little over the top. Sometimes that comes back to bite you
No ma'am I don't. I didn't go but one of the reason GW got a lot of preseason hype was because the way they beat Heritage.
Gunz41 it's not bragging it's just being confident. I may talk a little stuff but that's me. This team/players have been overlooked in this area for years . I have given other teams props such as Salem/Amherst/SR/Appomattox( I just give my boys more). I just call it like it is. Feel free not to read my posts if you don't like them. I won't be offended. I will state my opinion either way.

There is a difference in confidence and bragging, and thinking you will win and guaranteeing it. Your post doesn't bother me, so post away however you like sir. Good luck to your team and hope for no injuries and God bless
The game was 19-0 before SR had their scoring drive. Then Heritage returned the kickoff for a TD, Heritage forced a turnover on down then scored again befor the half..33-7. Overstreet played the entire 1st half as did Tester and Jones. I was at the game. Starters played the entire 1st half game situation. Not putting much into it because it was a benefit game but Heritage speed was a HUGE problem for SR... SR looks like they have found their groove now looking at the scores from the past few games.
I am glad my team won't have to face yours, sounds like it might not go very good. My team is just in that lowly 2A lol
As with a Benefit game I wouldn't put much stock in the first scrimmage of the year.. Both teams looked sloppy that day. 1st period of the scrimmage was controlled, each team has the ball for 10 minutes. 1's anginst 1's 2 series, GW 4 td's to HHS 2, and the 2's went once. Then there was 30 min game situation, no score from each team. Next was a goal line situation, each team gets 5 plays from the 5 yrd line. After two series each team GW 4 td's to HHS 3tds. Finally 1 series of 3 plays from the goal line each team. GW 2 td's Heritage 1. A lot of mistakes on both sides, as expected. What I took away from the scrimmage was that these two team are gonna be a huge problem this season. It's early but in my humble opinion it looks like one team has gotten better since then...
Now, Heritage drugged WF 54-15. Pulaski beat WF 60-19 or something like that but Pulaski lost to Northside 38-28. I am a Brookville Bee for life, I bleed maroon and gold but that 60-0 whipping of Northside was impressive to watch. Heritage has a really good team. A win Friday in Appomattox would make a statement.

Oh it's all good bro. I know Heritage is good but I just was proving to Pioneer that Heritage isn't the Gods of High School football like the way he posts. I love his confidence though. I hate PC answers and he tells it like he sees it. Call it cocky or arrogant or whatever but I respect it!
You certainly looked at that game through orange and blue glasses my friend. While HHS played better, the score was not indicative of the game. Props to HHS, but well, their time is coming...
