Good for him. A kid only has 3 classes and thinks it is ok to go to 1.5 and call it a day? I am sure mommy and daddy will fix it or attempt to fix it. Of Course it is a good time to teach a lesson since they are playing Rockbridge.

Coach Torrence was clear to his players about his expectations and the punishment that they would face. I couldn't be more in favor of his decision. It sets a tone for his program and is a great example for his underclassmen. He says what he means and he means what he says.

Actions have consequences is a better lesson than anything Football can teach them. Well done Coach.

I would hope that the suspensions would have happened no matter what opponent or when. What would we be teaching these kids if it were different?

No doubt in my mind he would have. Great job coach. A better question is would have the players even thought about skipping school or 1/2 day if the upcoming opponent was better, especially after the warning - would they have risked it?
