Indians were up two at half. Big momentum play I thought was Ray Ball hit Zy Harcum who drained the three at end of third. Gave NHS a 7 or 9 point lead.
The wildest, coolest part of the game was the ending. The NHS student section starting chanting with 4 minutes left for a popular player to be put in. The player, Joshua Hinson, whose main sport is baseball doesn't see much playing time as Northumberland has a deep bench.
With a min and half left, Josh was put in the game to loud cheers. The Indians got him the ball, he turned, shot a three and scored. Crowd fired up. Then he got the ball near the end of the game near half court and put it up. You guessed it- nothing but net and the crowd and team went berserk! It was awesome. The radio even interviewed him amongst the happy crowd.
NHS also donated many supplies to the Sussex community who was hit by the storms this week.
