Northumberland scores 60- QB Adams with 7 TD passes

One big plus for NHS is their complete balance between the Air Attack and Rushing ground and pound game - each contest is almost 50/50 split.

Last night is a perfect illustration of this strategic development- well done to the coaches and players.

NHS scored 30 points with passing and 30 points rushing, special teams, etc.

Now, it begins....

Northumberland QB Mason Adams with another 5 TD passes. He did throw his 1st interception of the season (17 TD passes in 4 games.)

NHS is 4-0.

Big game next week with a very strong 2A Buckingham coming to Northumberland.

Actually, I missed a couple NHS Adams TD passes (I was not there). So for the sake of accuracy here are the stats -

Northumberland’s QB Mason Adams actually threw 7 TD passes last night to 5 different players (including some Freshman and Delvin Palmer’s “little” brother).

Adams has 20 TDs in 4 games (19 TD passes).

Adams went 10-11 for 254 yards with 7 TDS and 1 INT.

NHS had 155 yards rushing.

Appears that Bruton stacked the box a lot last night to stop the run and try to pressure Adams. Doesn’t sound like it worked out too well.
