Game Recap Oscar Smith Too Much for Millwood CFC

Oscar Smith defeated Millwood 68-64 in the Coaches For the Cure Classic at John Marshall High School. Freshman Cam Thomas scored 22 points and senior T.J Taylor scored made five 3-pointers to finish with 21 points for the Tigers.

Thomas scored six straight pressure filled points in the final minute of the game to keep the Tigers in-front. Taylor drained 3 of his 5 treys in the 4th quarter. The Tigers got a big game from 6-foot-8 senior Justin Whatley who produced 15 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Junior big Nyzaiah Chambers (6-foot-7) had a fine stat line with 3 points, 10 boards, 4 blocks and 3 assists.

Oscar Smith led 37-28 at halftime but Millwood tied the score at 38 midway thru the 3rd quarter. The Bobcats were led by senior Ben Stanley who scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Senior Miles Gibson had a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds. DeAndre Thomas had three treys among his 13 points.
