I know how the points are calculated, but does anyone know how VHSL factors in out of state opponents when those teams are still playing a regular season game after the Virginia regular season ends. Example would be North Carolina teams finishing regular season November 9, which is 1st round of playoffs here. Would the Virginia team just jot get any potential rider points?

Their points stop after Va regular season ends

Just go by the games listed on the VHSL master schedule for the out of state team. If the game is not on the schedule, it doesn't count.

The game appears as originally scheduled, but due to the hurricane it was rescheduled to 11/9.
That's a tough one. I suppose it would come down to whether or not it would make a difference in seeding. If a win can't change the ranking then it's ignored. If it could....I have no clue.

The points end when the week the Virginia regular season ends. I.E. just like postponed games, must be completed by Tuesday before playoffs start

If that's the case, that kinda stinks for the VA team that could get bonus points from that game. What if that made the difference between the 1 and 2 seeds?

That would be very frustrating! Is what it is I guess.

Well what do you suggest, moved everything back a week? You cant count something after the fact

Ummm.....not suggesting anything. Just like a bad call in a game it would suck to be the team affected. That's why I said "is what it is." Geez....did you not have your coffee this morning? ;)

Of course it would suck for them, but there is no solution. It's the same thing as other states having a regular season game after playoffs start in VA, they dont continue to to accrue points after the regular season

Or like KY starting their playoffs next week - those games don't count, either.

Had a deal a few years back where ?maybe a NC game? in our first playoff week was between 2 teams that a Va. team had beaten, which SHOULD have guaranteed them 2 points, but it wasn't b4 our season ended, so it didn't count.

AND the 'master schedule' thing doesn't fly... it still has mistakes in it,
