Churchland pitcher Charles Parker spotted Maury a 3-0 lead then threw five scoreless innings to help the Truckers to a 5-3 win. Parker allowed only three baserunners after the second inning while recording five strikeouts.

The Truckers took the lead with a 4-run third inning. Michael Burton led off the inning with a single and scored when Devan Gresham doubled over the left-fielders head. The next batter, Nick Morrisette, reached base on a fielders choice. Gresham would cross the plate on a wild throw to first by Paul Hall. Pinch-runner Devin Walker scored on a pickoff attempt at second base and Robbie Bradshaw singled to bring home the Truckers fourth run.

Gresham singled in Marquis Barley in the 4th inning to extend the lead to 5-3. That would be enough for Parker who received several nice catches from Gresham in centerfield. Parker allowed a 2-out double to Joe Jackson in the top of the seventh but he got Andrew Tonra to fly out to end the game.
