I don't know much about PH Glade Spring other than they beat Northwood the last game of the regular season and knocked off Clintwood first round of the playoffs which not many people thought would happen. Galax has been playing better and coming together as a team. I am hoping Galax plays like they are capable of playing and advances to the next round. I would like to hear others thoughts and opinions on this matchup.

Very close game I think. Rebels beating Clintwood is impressive however by the same token Galax gave Giles all they could handle. Unless my hunch is off, I am thinking the maroon tides running game will make a slight difference. Galax by 7 points.

Galax gave up a lot of points to a team similar to PH, East Mont. If Galax takes care of the ball they should win BUT they have been known to make some bone head mistakes. This might be one of the better games in the 2nd round.

Galax played one of their worse games of the year against East Mont with a ton of penalties and turnovers which allowed East Mont to hang around and stay in the game. Galax has cleaned up a lot of that kind of stuff the last few weeks and I hope that trend continues, if not and they go back to making a ton if mistakes they will be in for a long night.

I look for Galax to be in the final 2 in the west and maybe, just maybe, host Altivista. Only time will tell.

Fort 89, I agree with you 100% on Galax. They are very balanced, and should make it to Salem. Anything can happen, but that's my pick too.

I'm not picking them to go to Salem. If they host Altivista, they will get beat. If it comes down to Honaker and Galax, Galax will travel to Essex's and will have a better chance of winning that game. Honaker will then host Altivista. I know that's a lot of if's but we will just have to wait and see.

PH shocked most of far SWVA by beating CWood at Ralphs house!! Thats tough to do for anyone! PH is playing with alot of emotion and for a fallen teammate!! I think Galax will be too much but never thought PH would compete with the greenwave sooo... This team has had a rough few seasons, glad to see them gettin things turned around and congrats on making it this far!!!!...Pulling for the upset by the Rebels!!!!

Galax is very solid on both sides of theball. But I didnt see #6 the last couple games is he injured?

Galax has two players out possibly for the rest of the season. #6 Charles Harris tailback/fullback has a fractured foot and Deangelo Ravenell #7 Receiver/CB did not play or dress last game for undisclosed reasons.

Harris was injured against Fort Chiswell and hasn't played since and is done for the year.
