Yeah, I know I'm being both biased and overexcited by West Po's win over South County, but the Wolverines looked good. Yes, Western Branch is 8-1, but they haven't played a good 6a team yet, and yes, Fairfax just lost their first game by 7 to Lake Braddock, and yes, Centreville only has a L to Stone Bridge and a 4 point loss to Madison, and all three teams are theoretically better than West Potomac based on their previous results, but I think that West Potomac just proved that they can take on any team in 6A and have a solid chance at winning, with maybe the exception of Oscar Smith. Feel free to complain about the Wolverines #10 below, but I think the rest of the ranking is fairly mainstream.

**... caveat that I don't know the Richmond/Tidewater schools that well... 757FridayNiteZ, a little help here, since I don't know the drop off in strength vs. Oscar Smith in comparison to the NoVa schools that well (Western Branch mentioned above, for example).
***...squeaking in Fairfax since they deserve props for reviving a moribund program and leaving the Wolverines in there because, hey, knocking off SoCo is good stuff.
****...South County is #2 and Madison #3 until such time as Madison can beat them... (and I 'm a Warhawks guy)

Likely Region 6C final: South County vs. Robinson
Likely Region 6D final: Madison vs. Centreville

I dropped South County down because they struggled through 3 quarters vs West Po, and Centreville would be my number 11. Not sure about the drop-off either, but I'm still assuming that O Smith is a couple of steps above everybody else. Fairfax probably does deserve to be in the list, but we'll see after Robinson and West Springfield close out the season for them.

It's pretty difficult to pick those 8-10 teams.. To me, Freedom (#7 for me) Dale & Manchester are probably better than Western Branch.. And I have the same problem with Fairfax & W. Potomac..in that i don't get to see them much if at all.

After Friday's game where WB barely got by Deep Creek, I'd likely have just outside #10.
