I didn't realize I had marked them as C5, thank you for letting me know. PVS & LR should be a good matchup of equally bad teams. (If last year is any indication) When i can't find enough matchups between equally good teams, 2 equally bad teams will do.
It feels great to see the pick ems back! Mike, appreciate all that you do.
The NFHS network should pay me 11 dollars if I watch Lightridge-Park View. Their cameras missing the play would be an improvement.
Mike thank you for another year of Pick Em. Two things we can ALWAYS count on, taxes and Mike preparing the weekly pick em games and keeping up with our points. Good luck to your Spartans this week. Picked Martinsburg but rooting for your guys. Hopefully y’all will have to come to Louisa for the region championship so I can selfishly only have to drive 45 miles to see the game 🤣
I'm glad to see that we have 20 "pickers" thus far. I'd love to see even more. Over the course of a football season we usually lose a few along the way. So the more we start with, the more we'll have at the end of the year. So if you like a little competition throw your hat in the ring! The more the merrier.
Are we allowed to actually attend the games this year in person? I got tired of sitting in the boonies when travelling to all the WV high school games last season. And will guvna dumbass require us to wear masks if we do go to the games?
Yep, the only locality that has restrictions is Halifax County.

OMG! There shouldn't be a HS game scheduled during the day in August. They can't find a venue to play that game at 7?? Even the 1st half of a 7pm game right now will be difficult, but 11?!? Ugh! Better have mustard, pickle juice, and IV's ready to go.
I just worry about those kids. I know they practice in this heat, and that 1st game is usually a grind even at 7pm. Those day games this weekend will be a JOB! Better pack some ice in that lunch pail!
They’ve now moved the game to 5. It’s been super duper hot in the Richmond metro the past few weeks. IMO, they should just kickoff at 7:00.
LB lost a lot to graduation, but I still think they'll be pretty tough. They have a pipeline of OL, they have a good dual threat QB, and the running game & defense is always solid. Glass would have to be significantly better than last year IMO to have a good shot. That being said, IDK what Glass has, so I could be wrong.
I'm so intrigued by this one. I've seen Glass and they look a lot better than last year. We all know that line play is very important, and that is what LB does best. That is honestly where Glass needs to improve if they want to compete. Looking forward to see what "White's Weapons" will do!

I think the Jeb Byrnes injury shakes Region D up big time. The freshman QB has a lot of promise but that’s a very tough schedule to throw a 14 year old who doesn’t know the playbook into. That’s no shot at his abilities, he’s going to be special! Him being behind him on the playbook and this week of quarantine hurts. I could see GW losing to Glass and Amherst. Byrnes may be back for Dinwiddie but that may be rushing it.
I think the one thing the quarantine did was delay the Dinwiddie game until Byrnes comes back. But yes the Byrnes injury does shakeup 4D. Good thing GW is in the Piedmont though. Had they been in the Seminole, they'd be doomed.
I might be wrong, but the attempted afternoon start and even the adjusted 5pm kickoff make it seem to me that they’re trying to get Chambers home that night and avoid the cost & covid nightmare of a hotel. But 5pm is gonna be BRUTAL.
I like that Glass QB, George White. Glass always has weapons. 2 Big questions- how will their defense & running games be? It's always good to mix it up and be able to control that clock. On defense don't let the other team control the clock either.
In deed. I also believe Shy Watlington to Reidsville takes them from 1 of the best 3 teams in the region to a “are they really better than Pulaski or Amherst?” I was critical on GW last year, however, they’ve taken some good steps. GW will be fortunate to win 2 games without Byrnes. This is by no means an easy schedule.

Hopefully we have him for Dinwiddie but it’s looking more like district play.
Tough injury for a QB especially if it's on his throwing hand. My Prayers for a quick recovery.
Defense should be solid. My only question mark is the defensive line. Running game...still needs work.
Shy is a good player. He looked good as a Sophomore when I saw him. That was a big loss for GW.
We will be okay. Heard Amherst is out for Covid as well. Cabell showed as much heart as I’ve seen from a high school player last Friday after rewatching your broadcast. Glad GW could get Fleming instead of Dan River. Fleming will be playing in at least 2 rounds of playoff football.
