Then I can guarantee that Tunstall won't lose this week. I thought that game would be interesting. Hope they eventually get to play.
Everything. Completely out of sync. Looked like they hadn't practiced since the Dan River game. Kids were winded pretty quickly. Gave up the opening KR TD and never recovered. Couldn't get a punt off cleanly due to bad snaps and bobbled balls. QB had his arm get hurt early and couldn't complete anything but a bubble the rest of the game. Chatham's DTs got penetration and ends were too quick for Tunstall's tackles so Tunstall couldn't throw any. For all of this, it wasn't a blowout like the score would indicate. Chatham scored on a KR, a third-and-long pass (Jack Turner teams NEVER pass) where the WR made a great play to snag a ball between two defenders then fight his way the final few yards to the end zone, another third-and-long run, 2 points from a punt snap that went past the punter OOB, and one typical drive. Tunstall's defense looked like they hadn't prepped for Chatham. DL got blown off the ball and LBs and DBs took a long time to figure out what play Chatham was running. Tunstall is young and it showed in this game. There were glimpses of Tunstall's potential but the QB never had time to really throw and when he did have time he never stepped into it. Chatham got called for a few penalties, mainly holding, chop block, and blocks in the back. Mainly Tunstall should've done some more of that since whatever they were doing didn't work very well. Tunstall looked nothing like the team that beat DR.
