Former GW Danville standout and 2014 4a West Player of the Year Hunter Byrnes is transferring from UVA to another D1 program to compete for the starting QB position this upcoming year. Hunter will be attending Davidson College in NC who are members of the Pioneer Football League (FCS). Byrnes, who was an invited walk on at UVA, accounted for 45+ TDs his senior year and holds just about every GW passing record leading GW to the 2nd round (2013) and 3rd round (2014) of the playoffs and led GW to a 22-3 overall record in the two years that he started. Congrats to one of the most humble/hardest working student athlete to play in the program in recent years. Well deserved Hunter!
