Ok, here is what has needed to be said all year. And nobody wants to admit it. We have a great bunch of young men here. We have good coaches, some of them are more vocal than others. But thats been great for us. Until we start losing some ball games. Then the blame game starts. Iv watched PM football for 30 years. It's totally changed. The coaches use to run the team. Now the parents do. It's who ur parents are is who gets the first look. Then those same parents start seeing "little johnny " getting wooped on the field. So it's the coaches fault. They are embarrassed, they have to blame someone. But never their "little johnny". Wake up people, your a joke, you make all of us in BV look like idiots. And coaches, it's on you to. You've let it happen, you can see it. By the lack of discipline and the lack of respect the kids have shown. It's about to late now to earn the respect back. That's on you guys. Good luck in the playoffs, Il be pulling for you.

Coach Jack Turner has got his health in order and is coaching at Galax, might be a good spot for him if he decides to be A Head Coach.
Just curious, which "Kid(s), player(s)" is playing or receiving playing time based on "Whom" their parent(s) are?? I am in no way attempting to be "facetious", just super curious as to your statement regarding the current offensive and defensive "starting roster" and what you think could/should be changed that could/would possibly benefit the Blues?...
In "your" opinion, which "Kid(s), Player(s)" are NOT playing that should be?? No need to mention "Kid(s),Player(s)" #'s or names, just as easily identifiable by position(s)..
Not disagreeing with you in the fact that there are some discipline issues.. It's no secret, that's been the "Talk of the Town"(City) since the beginning of the season, and I'm not necessarily referring to the "on-field" issues, penalties, personal fouls, etc.. etc..
In reference to your statement regarding the issue of respect... RESPECT IS EARNED NOT GIVEN!!! And as I have previously posted, IT WORKS BOTH WAYS! Respect is a mutual/shared "cohesion"!
Bottom line, be it right, wrong or indifferent, the "Coaching Staff" as a unit has handled/managed this seasons issues the the way they see fit and it ultimately falls in the lap of the Head Coach... Not only does the HC have to "manage" his/her "Coaching Staff", he/she is held accountable/responsible for the "COMPLETE MANAGEMENT" of the TEAM!!
Regardless of the final outcome of this season, there are MANY, MANY kids' on this PM FOOTBALL TEAM as well as others throughout the ENTIRE FOOTBALL COUNTRY that will have learned/gained positive lessons from their COACHES', just as there have been/will be MANY, MANY COACHES' that will have also learned/gained from their KIDS'(TEAM)..
Take from it what you will.. Agree, Disagree or simply, Agree to Disagree!!
Coaching..... It's about sooooo much more than just (in this case football) winning or losing..
It is NOT an easy job..

I don't expect it to get any better in coming years. PM dominated the Pioneer/Alleghany Highlands district for decades. The district belongs to the boys from Narrows now. Heck, Eastern Montgomery may even get hot on occasion. Change is hard. The Fighting Blues' reign of terror is over.
Narrows is at the start of a cycle of good talent coming through. The trick will be to keep them coming out and not focusing on just one sport. That trend has been a killer for all schools in our part of the world and nobody has went uneffected. The last time ithat Narrows had a cycle of talent like this come through the ranks was probably the early 90's, and I know Parry McCluer, Covington, and Bath Co. old timers remember some of the playoffs game from back then. The worry back then about eating into the talent pool was the kids getting jobs or wanting to spend time in the woods with a bow or gun on their shoulder. Now the big worry is focusing on one sport. We will see. I'm not calling the Pioneer as Narrows' possession. I know what Covington and PM will look like when the talent and coaching come together. It'll be fun to watch.
I dont need to name names or numbers, we know the kids and their parents. So im not going there. But one thing i will address is "Respect is earned, not given comment". Im old school. The coach is always right. Hes the coach. So hes the Boss. I respect that. When a cop pulls me over, I STOP, I don't keep going. I respect him. When a principal or teacher told me to do something, I did it. Because i respected them. If i didnt, my dad made it very plain what the difference was. But there are no woodsheds in BV anymore. Seems like this is not the same anymore, in BV or the rest of the rest of this great country. And its a shame. So sir, we are different on that aspect of life. Im a PM fan. Always will be. And time changes, but unfortunately, this time, its not for the better.

I was nowhere near the person(s) that were calling the officials "FAT", nor did I ever "CURSE AT nor TOWARD" an Official. Did I disagree with several of the call against PM, yuup, you can bet your "fibbing mouth" I did, as did many, many others... Sitting in the stands, on the same side, Yuup!! Did I hear it, Yuup!! Did I agree with it, nope,not in the least!! Now, that being said, I don't really care where or if you sit.. And we are friends.. And, I can guarantee you that they NEVER heard me say any such thing(s) as you have stated.. And yes, I can guarantee you that they will confirm that if asked to!! Sir, with all do respect, it's not the comments, "per say" on a public/community forum that I have a problem with, it's more of the context and manner in which they respond/comment... It's ALWAYS A SELECT FEW and it's ALWAYS DEROGATORY, ALWAYS!!! Some people cannot, will not, and absolutely refuse to find anything good to say regardless of if they agree or disagree with the issue at hand and then make every attempt, at any means to make the other person, whomever it be at the moment appear "insufficient" if you will.. It is what it is!!

A wise man told me these words in 1996 the day after he was inducted into the VHSL hall of fame. "When the parents start coaching youve already lost". Norm Lineburg. From what I have seen in the contests ive been to the PM crowd is loud and rowdy. There is a few that get "lippy and awkward " but nothing out of the ordinary. Those few are at every game in the country. I really dont think name calling is going to fix anything no matter who is wrong or right. Best wishes to PM and GW tomorrow night and pray for an injury free game. Someone please create a thread on here to update the score tomorrow night.

Coach(es) blame: Well....we don't know. We just know he is seriously tied at the hands with his discrepancy in talent. But the losses in the fans, parents, and kids eyes are somewhat at his feet.
I hope teams from the outside can take a look at this situation and learn how detrimental this type of blame placing can be on a TEAM.
If PM won't learn anything from it, hopefully other teams can use them as an example of what not to do during a tough/rebuilding season.
