PM "IS" so much better than what you are seeing, reading, hearing and playing...

Just going to throw this out there.. It is what it is, and YES, we all know that injuries suck when you are playing "Small Town Football with limited #'s on the sidelines".. And YES, the Coaching Staff needs to find a way to be more creative.. And YES, IMO they both, the Coaches and the Players are doing the best they can with "what they have", or should I say(have left)..

I understand that the "Blues" aren't getting much love at the moment and deservedly so, but rest assured,THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER than they are getting credit for.. There are a heap of things currently working against these kids(as it is with other teams)youth, depth, size and most importantly and most obvious, the injuries..

I'm just saying, DON'T count these kids out, DON'T let your guard down and DON'T expect them to lay down and quit.. They WON'T!! Yes, it's been a bumpy first four games and there may definitely be a few more, but I promise you, they will GET UP, SHOW UP, DRESS UP, and in the end STEP UP!!

Best of Luck to EVERY team this week and for the remainder of the season, PRAYERS upon PRAYERS for no(more)injuries and AS ALWAYS, GO BLUES!!!

I don't follow PM, but I appreciate your devotion to your team and community. I have no doubt the kids are working their tails off and should be applauded for their efforts win or lose.
I do follow the Seminole and Dogwood teams, and I will tell you that this William Campbell team is pretty darn good. Like anyone they can be beat, so keep focusing on the positives and keep encouraging the young men. Good things will happen

Thank you for the words of encouragement "newleather".. These kids, as do many others in the pre-season more times than not get "talked up" and "made out" to be above the expectations of most, and for some teams that turns out to be the case, but when you get bitten, and bitten, and bitten by the injury bug as we have it makes for a tough road to hoe... But as I said, IT IS WHAT IT IS, and we'll be okay.... And as always, "GO BLUES"!!

Lots of weird stuff in 1A football. For small schools like us here at WP, injuries are huge problems, being we only average about 22 kids on the team every year. Yet I come on the board and see people complain about injuries at schools like PM and GW, and I'm like you guys don't have a clue what its like for many in 1A. Other guy on another post complaining about injuries at GW and kids quitting, yet they still got 50 kids dressed out. Give me a break

I understand Sir, I really do... As I stated earlier in this post, it's "Small Town Football" and with that you get this.. PM started with 39 kids at the beginning of the season, currently we're at(I believe) 27 or 28, possibly 29.. There are four that are done for the season (1st game or before) several others that may or may not make it back.. PM very seldom, if ever has had more than 40 kids(varsity)and several years ago they started the season with 14.. Now that was a loooonnggg season!!

I'm not taking anything away from ANY school, smaller than, bigger than, or equal to.. I'm just saying that in my opinion "PM" is better than they they have shown and hopefully they can get healthy(er)..

Best of Luck to you guys and your kids at WP, and I PRAY that you(just like us)have no more injuries..

I to pray no kids get hurt, ever. We have quite a few injuries ourself. At the 1A level 1 injury can devastate a football team since most play on both sides of the ball. Best of luck also and the other kids just have to step up.

Incredibly refreshing to see a post that is encouraging to both kids and coaches. As opposed to something divisive that will further tear a team apart with finger pointing and blaming others. Wish we had more positivity like this on the boards and everywhere else. Best of luck to the Blues the rest of the way.
