PM's FISCHER STANDS OUT AT SEVERAL CAMPS

Parry McCluer rising Senior Joshua Fischer has had a busy(noticeable)Summer Camp Season. Fischer, a DE/OT at 6'-4" and 260 lbs has attended several Football Camps this off season including being invited to and attending the University of North Carolina Throwers camp for field events.. Fischer has visited UVA, Va.Tech, JMU, and Richmond football and also attended the A.S.S.I.S.T. FOOTBALL COMBINE in Richmond, as well as fielding several other invites from the likes of Marshall, Tennessee , Emory & Henry, Concord and several other D-II and D-III schools..

Just recently at the at the Richmond Big Man Camp, Fischer was clocked at (obviously NOT Coleton Beck speed) 5.08 and 5.01 in the 40 as well as 4.84 and a 4.74 in the shuttle respectively.. Fischer also had "nearly similar" times at UVA and the others coming in just a tick off his best 40 time of the summer at 5.01.. Not too shabby for a "BIG GUY" who also stands in as the Blue's Kicker/Placekicker, which netted him a spot on the 2nd Team All District,Special Teams last year only behind Auburn's Ritchie Romo.. And on a side note, the Blues did not attempt a single field goal last year which means all his points came from PAT's.. We all know, the LINEMEN get very little and rarely any recognition and do the majority of the work in the trenches for their running backs/quarterbacks.. I think it's great he's getting some attention and hopefully it will give him a little more motivation to play BIG...

Hopefully, the young man can stay healthy this season and maybe turn a few more heads and open a few more eyes.. The Blue's OL/DL is basically the same as it was last season aside from the center so they should be pretty competitive... Time will tell, and as always... GO BLUE!!!!
