Poll - Who should be the #1 team in Boys Hoops in Group 5A to begin the 2016-17 season?

Would love to get your thoughts on this Matt... Not sure I know the answer at this point.
5a will be STACKED this year. I'm looking forward to see how Varina, Bird, and Highland Springs do. You can NEVER count on the guys on Azalea Ave in the Henrico Warriors. Springers return just about everyone if there has been no transfers and they hired someone within the system to coach. I look for the Springers to be a serious sleeper in 5a.
Albemarle is going to struggle in the back-court, but it might not matter if Hahn and Katstra just dominate.

Tell you what - any one of eight or nine teams I believe could win 5A. It is that loaded and should once again be as compelling as any division in the state.
I sort of lean towards someone from 5A-North winning the title, which would make it two in a row and three in four years for that region when I said last year on record (and still maintain) that 5A-South is the best region of the 16 in VHSL Hoops.
Just look at the four #1 seeds that lost a season ago in the first round - Green Run, Bethel, Henrico and Varina. Their combined record 84-13 before each lost to #2 seeds!
So what I'm getting at is this - Potomac, Wakefield and Albemarle have a much clearer path to the State Tournament than those in the South because you're looking at double the amount of contenders from L.C. Bird and Hampton, to Bethel and Green Run, Varina and Henrico... even someone off the grid (Highland Springs, Maury with a coach that has over 700 victories, etc.) could pull an upset we're not expecting and would be a greater factor in another division.
