Think this one deserves a thread since it's going to be played in 3 days. Any information on these teams? I know Courtland brings back Cheetham, Vic Green, Grant, Allen, and company. Ponax dismantled them last year, opinions on this year's game?
That's about right. Ponax is just too strong physically. I'm much more concerned with injuries to my blueberries following a game against such a team. They have great talent but depth will always be an issue when you're only putting about 35 out there.Courtland is good, but Massaponax has their number and will win by at least 2tds
Last year's score was a bit of an anomoly and not a good indication of how good Courtland was. But they are notoriously slow starters who take too much time reading their own press but that does not excuse the fact they got spanked badly. Didn't bother me at all however. Expected a loss. They went on to have a great regular season with the only real disappointment being how badly they screwed the pooch at GW Danville.Think this one deserves a thread since it's going to be played in 3 days. Wrong...win by official assistanceCourtland is good, but Massaponax has their number and will win by at least 2tds
Wrong...win by official assistance
They caught a bad break at the end but they blew plenty of opportunities to put this one away. Can't blame the Ref's. From everything I've been able to read, this was a hard fought game but generaly sloppy. Not Courtland football. Cougars blew it. Can only blame themselves, take the lessons learned and move on to Riverbend. No doubt bout it, Courtland played well but the refs bailed Massaponax out
