From the VHSL alignment notes released today:
--TJ and Lee are requesting to play up in Class 6, which would put all the traditional Northern Region teams in Class 6.
--The regions are also requesting to realign districts to create two districts per region.
Concorde: Centreville, Chantilly, Madison, Oakton, South Lakes, Westfield
Liberty: Marshall, Herndon, Langley, McLean, Wakefield, Washington-Liberty, Yorktown
6D District 1: Fairfax, Robinson, Lake Braddock, South County, TC Williams, West Potomac, WT Woodson, West Springfield
6D District 2: Annandale, Falls Church, Hayfield, Justice, Mount Vernon, Lee, Edison, TJ
IMO this would be a big improvement on the current districts, which are too small.
Also Mount Vernon's enrollment is low enough to request a mid-cycle drop to class 5, but based on this plan it sounds like they won't do it.
