If I had an overall Top 5 camp performers, I would include Massaponax edge Declan Ta’amai and Mt Zion Prep edge Tristan Lux.

Declan Ta’amai (6-foot-3, 235) was the overall Spotlight 39 camp MVP with his performance in the 1-on-1 drills. He was dominant while rushing the passer displaying elite speed and explosiveness. He went thru some defenders as if they were standing in cement. Ta’amai said he doesn't have any offers but has interests from William & Mary, Princeton, Georgetown and Eastern Illinois. I expect offers to be forthcoming after his camp performance.

I have seen rising senior Tristan Lux at several prospect camps, and he has performed at a high level each and every time. Lux can play both linebacker and rush edge. He is faster than his frame looks. During the running backs versus the linebackers matchups, Lux was able to cover and make plays against the speedy running backs. Of course, his strength is his strength which he use power thru his defender. Lux doubles as a USA Powerlifting National competitor. He won the competition here in Virginia last year and he told me he is looking to compete in Strong Man competitions. He has interest from Army, Air Force, as well as Miami of Ohio, Cornell, Princeton, Robert Morris, Duquesne, and Saint Francis.
