If I had an overall Top 5 camp performers, I would include Massaponax edge Declan Ta’amai and Mt Zion Prep edge Tristan Lux.

Declan Ta’amai (6-foot-3, 235) was the overall Spotlight 39 camp MVP with his performance in the 1-on-1 drills. He was dominant while rushing the passer displaying elite speed and explosiveness. He went thru some defenders as if they were standing in cement. Ta’amai said he doesn't have any offers but has interests from William & Mary, Princeton, Georgetown and Eastern Illinois. I expect offers to be forthcoming after his camp performance.

I have seen rising senior Tristan Lux at several prospect camps, and he has performed at a high level each and every time. Lux can play both linebacker and rush edge. He is faster than his frame looks. During the running backs versus the linebackers matchups, Lux was able to cover and make plays against the speedy running backs. Of course, his strength is his strength which he use power thru his defender. Lux doubles as a USA Powerlifting National competitor. He won the competition here in Virginia last year and he told me he is looking to compete in Strong Man competitions. He has interest from Army, Air Force, as well as Miami of Ohio, Cornell, Princeton, Robert Morris, Duquesne, and Saint Francis.

Arthur Cutler (6-foot-1, 245) from Oxen Hill, Maryland, won most of the pass rush matchups. Sometimes he beat his defender with movements and at other times he used his strength. The rising senior may have taken home the Defensive Line MVP if not for the dominant play of Ta’amai and Lux. Cutler has an offer from Penn and interest from Columbia, Air Force, Brown, Villanova, Towson, Hampton, FAMU, Georgetown, Wagner, William & Mary, Lafayette, and Coast Guard.

Stone Bridge rising sophomore Keith Nolen (6-foot-1, 180) earned Defensive Back MVP. He was one of the top five overall prospects with his performance on the field and in the drills. Nolen played wide receiver as a freshman and finished with 22 receptions for 479 yards and four touchdowns. However, he worked out with the defensive backs due to more available reps. He has great length and the athleticism to play either receiver or corner.

Earning runner-up Defensive Back MVP was Bishop McNamara rising sophomore Lawrence Diggs. He is a tall corner (6-foot-2, 180) with good reaction time. Diggs produced the best matchups in the individual competition. He provided good coverage and he deflected several passes while making one pick that I watched.

St Michael rising sophomore Aaden Miller (6-foot-1, 190) was named linebacker MVP in a close competition for top honors. What may have put him over was his great pass coverage which included one of the best breakups on the day. Miller also made a couple of deflections, and I didn't see any bad reps.

Riverbend prospect Tristan Greene worked out with the linebackers but his size (6-foot-2, 231) could also work well as a edge pass rusher. Greene played linebacker, tight end and lined up at Defensive End in his junior year. The camp didn't have a tight end group but that is another area that Greene can play. Greene helped Riverbend reach the Region championship game while starting on both sides of the ball. Although he doesn't have any D1 offers, Greene is receiving Ivy and Patriot league interest.

Rising senior Jonathan Manson (5-foot-10, 10) drove from Franklinton High School in North Carolina to attend the camp. Manson fought for every ball and his competitive side showed out in each matchup. Manson worked out with the linebackers but may project more as a Safety in college. Manson said he was the River Prep Defensive Player of the Year as well as Big East All Conference.

Rising senior Deonte Bradley (5-foot-10, 170) plays for Eastern Senior High School in Washington DC. He was 1 of 5 selected for the best versus the best 1-on-1 matchups towards the end of the camp. Bradley used his quickness to run stride for stride with the opposing receiver. He said he doesn't have any offers and attended the camp to get more exposure.
