Question for any Covington people or vistors that's played there this season.

If anyone has been to games in Narrows as a visitor, you've seen the section of the fans that stand on the street above the stadium to the right looking down. Was curious if Covington is allowing people to stand on the grass between the fence and the street on the east end zone end or if they were having people that stood there ran off.

Any info here would be appreciated.

I guess it's a dead issue now with the game having to be cancelled due to Covington not having enough healthy players. Not going to assume anything. Just best wishes to the team to get back to health. The season is short enough as it is for these seniors. Especially rough given they didn't to have basketball either.

This is nuts, I watched there game last week and they had enough guys on the sideline to compete this week. I saw 1 go down against PM and could be out this week. Sure guys can get hurt during the week at practice and sickness can always sweep in; but week after week I see teams like Bath and Bland play there games and they have way less players. This is sad for both teams.

Is Jones still coaching at Covington? I counted perhaps 20 players for their game vs. East Mont, maybe there were more off camera. Not sure. But still they still had as many players as East Mont and definitely more than Bath.

Does this count as a forfeit win for Narrows?

As far as I know, Jones is still there. Not sure what the particulars were that led them to not have enough so I won't speculate.

As far as Narrows goes, Coach Lowe has publicly said he wasn't looking to replace them however given how late in the game it was. I don't see him wanting to play anyone blind with no prep. Per the power points that the VHSL released today, the game must have been counted as a cancellation and not a forfeit, because Narrows nor Covington got credited with any points as such. So unless Narrows plays a 2nd game in either of the last 2 weeks, their average will be figured by 5 instead of 6.
