Congrats to the Freedom Eagles last night on their win over Stone Bridge, ending a 26 game winning streak for the visiting Bulldogs. While the win was impressive, more impressive was something that happened in the 3rd quarter. On a kick-off, Stone Bridge had a gunner suffer a serious leg/ankle injury. As the player was being stretchered off to the ambulance, Coach Overton from Freedom had his players form a make-shift tunnel to surround the exit of the injured player. He also made sure his kids said the players name as he was being wheeled out. Furthermore, Coach Overton asked the Freedom fans to continue to applaud for a good period of time. Football is important to these kids, but the life lessons these young men can receive is priceless. Thanks Coach (from a Stone Bridge fan).
