Radford/Martinsville

Yes because Martinsville is not a very good shooting team. When Cormany saw that, he just packed in the zone. My Dawgs have been very undisciplined all year. Radford on the other hand showed a lot of discipline and hit big shot after big shot.

I hadn't seen Martinsville play but Jones is the real deal. very impressive. he was the whole reason to change to zone. This was the second time this I've seen Radford use a zone. I thought the Martinsville game plan was good also. They had to slow it down because they couldn't run with Radford for 4 qtrs but once they were down in the 4th, the plan should've changed.

Kirby is really good as well. He had an off game.

Ant, I agree with you 100%. Always knew what you were going to get from Jones but Kirby was the key. If he was on the Dogs were a tough out. This team ended their season about where I thought they would. Good luck to JR and Radford moving on to the quarter finals, the best 2 teams in Region C.

Who is #22 for James River? That kid is a monster. I really liked his energy on the court. He will be a load for anyone to handle, that includes the teams from Region D and John Marshall.

Oh the possibilities if Spencer Hairston hadn't transferred to Dudley High school, down in Greensboro, NC. From what I've been hearing, he's down in North Carolina showing off.

No doubt Spencer has been lighting it up at Dudley

Ant #22 is Patrick Clevenger, team capt. he’s a 4 yr starter, good all around player and student, he’s actually going to Roanoke College to play 🏀 next year, the Easton twins Jayson 24 and Corey 10 are going to Lynchburg and Waynesburg Pa to continue their 🏀 careers. They both transferred from Allegheny mid term in 20/21 season because Allegheny cancelled season due to Covid, much like Martinsville did. Some schools/coaches claim that JR “recruited” them which was BS💩. As I understand there is also more to it but I won’t bring that up here. The other starters are jr’s and will be back next year as far as I know.

I can certainly understand those young men transferring, so they can play basketball. Some people are just like sour grapes. It looks like JR and Radford will be the teams to beat, yet again in Region C. I had thought about coming up tonight to see the championship game. Work wore me out, so I'll look for updates on here.

Radford has a youtube channel, Bobcat Sports Live that you can listen to both games if you feel like it. its okay to listen to but at least it would keep you updated.
