Lee is stacked. That offense is incredible and that D can really shut you down. I think they stomp GM Friday and will win the Region B.
Anything less than a State appearance will be a shocker.

I don’t know if it would be a shocker, but I agree they’re better than most people think. It seems most are really down about Region B and I don’t get it. In my opinion, they’re the deepest region in class 2, and this is coming from a guy from region D.

Do not sleep on Central Woodstock in round 2..............You best believe they will show up to play in round 2 (assuming they take care of business vs. Gap)

Lee was good last year but didn’t know it themselves. This year they are good and they realize it. Not in a cocky way but aware of the ability they have. Gonna be a tough out and that’s not saying that Central is not capable. They most certainly are. Should be a great game if both teams do what they do and win the first round.

If those two meet, and they should, it will be a classic! I would be hard-pressed to pick a winner.

It's really hard to tell with any of these teams. Riverheads people saw different teams in Lee , Luray and Central. From what I saw, Luray was the best team. From what Riverheads saw, it would be either Central or LEE, from what Lee saw it was probably Luray, and from what Central saw it was probably Riverheads. From what Clarke saw it was Central. From what East Rock saw it was probably Riverheads or LEE.

It all just depends on when you saw a team, and how they were playing on viewing someone as the best team. And now it doesn't matter, they will all settle it on the field.

Lee is definitely very talented. If I had to pick a weakness, they are a little soft. Smashmouth football is not their forte, but they proved against Riverheads they can hold their own. They have shown more grit, week after week. I think Lee would prefer to play Central instead of Clarke or Luray. Honestly, any of those teams could win the region except Mason or Strasburg.

I'm partial to C or D. C has three legit threats at a title, and D has 5 teams that won seven or more games, and two teams that are on a very short list of title contenders. Ridgeview, the #3, is 9-1 with only loss at Union. Graham lost by one against WV title contender Bluefield. Marion is 8-2 with only losses to Graham and VHS and defeated Grayson that beat Galax and also beat 1A contender Chilhowie, VHS went 7-3 only losing to TN High, Richlands and Graham. Hell the #6 seed Grayson just beat Galax.

-Can Lee win Region B? Absolutely.

-Will it be a shocker if they don't win the region? Not to me. Look at this region, and I'll start with the teams Lee has already faced: you have Buffalo Gap who played Lee to a stalemate that could have gone either way, you have Luray who actually beat Lee in a head-to-head matchup, an East Rock team that has improved since facing Lee. As for the teams Lee hasn't faced this season, you have Clarke Co, who is a familiar opponent for the Leemen, and Central Woodstock. Clarke and Lee have played 3 times since 2013 in the postseason (including the past 2 years), and Clarke has ended the season for the Leemen each time. You also have Central Woodstock, and they are the most complete team in the Region to me. Perhaps George Mason or Strasburg could get hot and upset someone, but they do not have a resume thats indicative of that happening.

More on Central Woodstock: I cannot find a weakness offensively or defensively with that team, and the same cannot be said for the rest of the teams in the Region. They seriously have everything. WRs/DBs with speed (who are threats through the air or on the ground on offense, and they can hit on defense), a freight train at runningback, a QB that can throw, size upfront and at the linebacker positions, the ability to run or pass with success, as well as an undefeated record, including a victory over Riverheads, and a 40 point blowout victory over top seeded Clarke.

Very good synopsis of the region and I agree that any one of about six could possibly take the title.

We will get some pretty good clues tonight, although I do not expect any upsets of the top three seeds. And of course whatever happens between Luray and East Rock could not exactly be considered a surprise because of how close their game was last Friday.

Comparing scores, and yes I know that does not always mean anything, if Central beats Gap solidly, let's say by at least 3-4 scores, then that will prove that their win over Riverheads was about what it should have been and that they probably are ready to win the region. But if the Bison give them a good game, which they just might do, then that could be an indication that Central can be beaten after all.

Next week is when it will get REALLY interesting!
