I agree totally with that statement. I love Grundy, but the weak district could possibly make them complacent and give them a false sense of security. I still think they make it to States though.Burton was a tough matchup for Grundy. Just about blew a solid lead. Lack of competition last half of the season could be an issue moving forward.
When you’re constantly getting up 27-9 in the first 10 minutes over the last month, that’s an issue. They really needed to be able to get that last Graham game in to gauge where the team truly is at right now.I agree totally with that statement. I love Grundy, but the weak district could possibly make them complacent and give them a false sense of security. I still think they make it to States though.
All four teams left in Region D are solid teams and in a one and done scenario, you never know.I shouldn’t count out Northwood. They’re also playing damn good ball but if Grundy advances, Northwood would be a much more favorable match-up for Grundy to get a region title.
I’m a former player for Grundy—I’m guessing we’ve crossed paths back in the day.I was at the Grundy and Burton game last night. Burton came out on fire. Trevor Culbertson had 6 three pointers on the night. The X factor was Looney. He dominated on both sides of the ball. 37 points and 21 rebounds and i have no idea how many block shots he had or shots that was missed due to his presence. Burton tried to stop him but couldn't. Grundy did have some jitters though. kwhs95fan you are right -- there will be some great games at SWCC tomorrow night. Im glad I get to cover it.
