We'll post updates, stats, photos (to come later) and more from the Class 5, Region D Tournament quarterfinals at North Stafford High School as the Wolverines play host to Potomac, a State Tournament fixture...

You can see why schools such as Hampton University are already recruiting Swinton. He has offers in both football and basketball.

This North Stafford team also features two football signees - Nana Asiedu (Rivals250 lineman headed to Penn State) and Devin Ravenel (James Madison University).

3:03 to go 3rdQ - North Stafford 27, Potomac 21. Nick Pullum called for his 3rd foul on an offensive foul. That could be costly for Potomac. But Coach Keith Honore leaes him in, probably knowing he has to at this point.

Both teams with 14 turnover through three quarters of play. Swinton is the best player on the floor in this one. If Potomac can neutralize him, they can steal this one at the end. The Wolverines must maintain their poise and composure, not play too out of control, and make sure they keep Asiedu as a factor in the paint.

3:02 to play - Potomac 45, North Stafford 44. Julian Cumba - guess who - with a 3 to put the Panthers up. Has 21, 13 here in the 4thQ.

But 4th foul called on Nick Pullum (Potomac's top rebounder). So both he and North Stafford's Nana Asiedu have 4 fouls.

Scratch that now as the officials confer and change the foul from Pullum to Jaylen Williams, who now has 3. So 3 fouls on Williams and Pullum each.

Devin Ravenel to shoot 2FT's. Both are good, NS back up 46-45.

Another time-out. We have a photo finish in store it looks like. These two teams trading punches like a heavyweight battle. Unfortunate one won't move on because these two, in my opinion, are State Tournament worthy in a very deep Class 5 field.
