1A East Game of the Week

Northumberland at Colonial Beach (both top ten state teams in my opinion)

CB has another star to replace the great Lamar Lucas in Running Back AnaJai Lewis - He is tied for 1st in NND (with Essex's Dameron) for scoring with 11 TDs plus some 2 point conversions.

Lewis is a highly dangerous special teams player. He scored two punt return TDs against Essex last week (43 and 61 yards). Maybe NHS should just leave the starting players in when that kid is about to get the ball ha....

CB's Lewis is third in rushing in the NND (after W&L's Kelly and Essex's Dameron).

Should be a good one!

I think you overlooked Franklin out of the Tri-Rivers Should be in that 7-9 range

Would think Franklin would be ahead of Surry based on head to head but Surry's win over Northampton holds more weight than Franklin's other win over 1 win Charles City. Thanks

About to head out to the Northumberland at Colonial Beach battle.

Just checked the Pick 'em - out of 30 picks - 27 votes went to CB and 3 folks went with NHS!

I'll also go with the underdog and predict an upset by Northumberland over CB.

If turnovers are about equal, NHS might have a solid win. Of course, anything is possible and CB is a tough team for sure.

It’s your opinion but why would a Northumberland win be considered an upset? Just curious. For me, whoever wins, win. No upset either way. Maybe in the pick’ems it will be an upset because most picked CB to win, but on the field it’s a big game that both need to win to get a better seeding for the playoffs.
