Before we head into rivalry week, lets take a look back at some the action from Friday night!
Isaiah Seaborn makes a perfect read for Jamari Garner to exploit the huge hole made.
Greensville County 70 Franklin 12
Greensville County sent a message Friday night that they are stronger and ready to make their mark. The game was a grudge match in the 1st quarter but the cage got unlock and the Eagles flew away with this one. DeAndre Anderson was sensational with 4 touchdowns on the night. Now the Eagles will travel north eastward to neighboring Sussex County to face their rival Sussex Central for what should be a packed house as both teams look for a win that will improve the seeding.
Sussex Central 48 Brunswick 14
Speaking of Sussex Central, the Tigers behind the strong running of Trevon Hatch pulled away from the Bulldogs and never looked backed. Hatch rushed for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns giving the Tigers a key victory in Lawrenceville. Malik Lankford got a pick six and Imir Clark would catch a fumble in mid-air and cruised for a second defensive score on the night.
King William 22 Middlesex 13
An improved Middlesex squad took a 13-8 lead until the Cavaliers Lance Alfonso would find John Williams for a 30-yard pass for the touchdown. King William would add the second touchdown reception by Marc Gresham in the 3rd and allow the defense to do the rest as King WIlliam's streak continues and now they will face their rival West Point in what should be an intense affair.
Washington & Lee 42 Rappahannock 34
Rappahannock was definitely amped up to play this one and it showed early. The Raiders must have been too relaxed with the 28-21 lead at the half as a flat 3rd quarter would cause them the contest. The Eagles rushing attack of John Kelly and Carson Bell amassed over 300 yards and was instrumental in the comeback.
