Region A Volleyball- Middlesex, Rappahannock, Northumberland, Chincoteague win

Region A Volleyball action -The Final Four are set. The semis are Thursday. Winners advance to states.

Middlesex won 3-0 v CB.

Rapp won 3-0 v Lancaster.

Northumberland was down 2-0 v Mathews but the Lady Indians stormed back to win 3-2.

Chincoteague barely escaped Essex with a 3-2 win.

Rappahannock (21-3) travels the 9 hour round trip to play Chincoteague (11-2).

Northumberland (18-4) travels to Middlesex (20-1).

NHS only losses were to Rapp (3) and Middlesex (1).

Congrats to the Rappahannock Lady Raiders who traveled to the top of Virginia’s Eastern Shore and came away with a 3-1 win over Chincoteague.

The Raiders (22-3) advance to the Region A Championship and qualify for States for only the 2nd time in school history.

In Middlesex tonight, #1 seed Middlesex won over Northumberland 3-1 to advance to the Region title game next Tuesday.

NHS won the 1st set and many of the sets were very close, but the Chargers won the next three.

Northumberland played 23 games this season and only lost to Rappahannock and Middlesex.

Region A Title game will be played at Middlesex on Tuesday as of now, depending on any poor weather events. I am told it may be moved to Monday if necessary.

Middlesex is currently 21-1. Their only loss this season was against Rappahannock. The two teams split the regular season series.
