Rappahannock Raiders volleyball went up 2 games to 0 on volleyball powerhouse Mathews. The Lady Raiders won the 2nd game 25-6. Just one more game....
Mathews stormed back and won the next two, then carried that momentum into the final match and snatched the victory from Rapp.
I think Mathews won the State title last year or was it the year before? They are always a power it seems. Rapp won the NND for I think the 1st time last season (and graduated some top talent but have rebounded well.)
Rapp JV Lady Raiders won both games over Mathews 25-21 and 26-24. Rapp JV is 3-0 (plus beat 5A Lee Davis in a scrimmage, Varsity lost in 5th game I believe). Future looks bright.
