Looks like an incredible regional coming up

Any of those eight teams could win it

As I have said many times, I don't understand the system and admire those of you who do, but I cannot wrap my head around how Riverheads could still be three spots ahead of Stuarts Draft after tonight.

Unfortunately, Draft is at the mercy of their opponents records. Riverheads opponents victories far exceed SD's opponents victories. There is currently a big disparity in rider points.

Draft is peaking at the right time and despite some posters doubt, I look for them to be a factor come playoff time. Don't know the maximum points for either team, but a SD win next week adds 20+12 without extra riders and a Riverheads win only garners 20 points without extra riders. Things could tighten up between these two. King William finishing strong will help SD as well.

The top 5 teams in this region are very tough. I know Defiance is sneaky good as well. Playoffs are going to be fun

There's a good deal of parity. Madison and Fort can beat anyone, but also lose to everyone. Central and Draft started slow, but are showing great improvement. Every game in the regionals should be competitive. I think the eventual winner is going to have a tough time beyond that, though. Poquoson, Union, and Graham look awfully strong. Region B is stronger than C though.

I wouldn't sleep on King William or Bruton in Region A. Bruton at Poquoson this weekend which is a game that effects Region B if Poquoson does go on to win Region A because a win over Bruton would have Poquoson at home in the semis. The Region B winner is going to be incredibly good and homefield advantage in the semis usually goes a long way for 2 closely matched teams. With KWs schedule played, they are battle tested enough and have enough talent and coaching to possibly come out of Region A.

KW has played Clarke, Strasburg, Central, and Stuarts Draft this season. That's a gauntlet. Yes they lost all those games but they are dangerous. As far as Central and Madison go both teams can be dangerous but with Central not having Barahona at WR hurts that offense. I know the last 2 games they have moved him back out there but nothing against Madison or Luray they are not Strasburg or CC. Now Both teams have a shot at making huge statements in their next few games with Madison finishing the season with both Strasburg and Clarke. Central gets Strasburg last game of the season. So there are some pretty big games left in this district and region

At the D.A.R.E. Golf tournament yesterday, several members from various MC Athletics felt that Region B may be as deep as it’s ever been. They acknowledged that the top was very, very good but that whoever ends up 5-8 could possibly win a game or two or maybe even the region. MC probably has the toughest schedule left; traveling to Strasburg then hosting Clarke.

Madison has a chance to make a huge statement the next 2 weeks. I was at the central game and what I took away from the game was they need to get the run game going early. If they can do that I think they can move the ball. The defense against Central was not fantastic. Could be just a 1 off game. I've only seen them play once. I'm sure you know better than others lol. But if they could pull an upset of at least 1 of CC and Strasburg that would be a great win and make a statement

Gonna be interesting for sure! Nice to see MC in the conversation again.

Very deep region
If I had to rank them it'd be....

1. Clarke County (8-0)-CC looks big and athletic(Only question I have is strength of schedule)
2. Buckingham (8-0): 23.75-the knights look big, physical, tough, and disciplined. (strength of schedule is questionable for them as well.)
3. Strasburg (7-1): 23.75-Could be in the top 2 but since CC beat them I have them below the top two. (strength of schedule is a concern.)
4. Stuarts Draft (7-2): 21.89-Stuarts Draft would be higher for me but the bad loss to Staunton is stuck in my head.
5. Central Woodstock (3-5): 16.75-This team by far is the most intriguing, they have been through a lot this season but if you take away their forfeits they only have two losses. They dominated Madison. Woodstock could be towards the top of this list.
6. Riverheads (7-2): 23.89-another year another quality football team. I ranked them lower due to all the injuries and being dominated by Stuarts Draft last week.
7. Fort Defiance (4-4): 20.88-Solid football team with a dynamic QB. If they get the WR back no one will want to draw them either.
8. Madison County (4-4): 17.63-Never know what you will get from the Mountaineers, they beat a good Staunton team, played Buckingham pretty tight, played Fort Defiance close, and lost to Westmoreland in a shootout, then they were dominated by the Falcons. Their defense is the question mark in my opinion.
