I know there is absolutely no one giving props for Region II volleyball, which is sad with all the established programs it has. So I'll at least make folks aware of the semifinal round, which is being played tonight.

James Wood (16-7) at Loudoun County (24-1)
Fun facts about the Colonels:
No. 2 team out of the Northwestern District
Second straight season in regional play.
Top attacker is a freshman.
Have only three seniors on a roster of 13.
Fun facts about the Raiders:
Should be called Penn State South.
Have won the Group AA championship each of the last four years.
Only loss came to last season's Group AAA runner up Stone Bridge in five sets.
Program has averaged close to 22 match wins over the last 10 seasons.
Lots and lots of height on its roster.

Potomac Falls (16-10) at Western Albemarle (record NA)
Fun facts about the Panthers:
No. 4 team out of the Dulles District during the regular season, but earned the district's No. 3 seed by beating Briar Woods in the district consolation game.
Has already picked up a pair of three-set sweeps on the road this week against two district tournament champs, beating Kettle Run on Monday and Sherando on Tuesday.
Like most Dulles teams, has size and brings the attack well.
Fun facts about the Warriors:
The masters of the Jefferson District have won this league 10 years running.
New coach but lots of power hitting and serving, a hallmark of this program for years.
They knocked out the Dulles' No. 2 team in Heritage in three sets. The Warriors are for real.
