Should be a good one on Thursday night. Richlands will come prepared with a good game plan. Graham will have speed and athleticism on their side. Outcome will be determined by which Graham team shows up, IMO. If they play undisciplined and let their emotions get in the way, Richlands will beat them by 2 or 3 scores. If they play like they have been of late, I would favor the G-Men in this game. The defense has made tremendous strides the past 2 or 3 weeks and I like what I am seeing from them. A couple of big plays allowed in the past couple of games, other than that the defense has looked pretty solid. Raley has really helped on that Defensive Line and Edwards is playing lights out at the Middle Linebacker spot, those 2 have really helped for sure. Can't wait til Thursday. Hoping for big things from Allen, Lester and Company for the G-Men.

A month ago I would have said Richlands will win this one for sure. I like what I see in Graham. They seem to be improving week to week. If the improvement continues into this week I think Graham wins. They are more than capable.

Graham is capable of winning and have been playing better. New additions on defense have helped for sure. If I were a betting person, I'm sure D. Palmer has helped prepare to GMen and get them in a "we can beat Richlands" frame of mind. If the most recent Graham shows up, I give them the W. If not, Richlands will take it. If I'm not mistaken, Ronnie Davis who took over as Defensive Coordinator at Richlands is Palmer's brother which is an added twist. Hoping GMen pull this one out. I'm going to say GMen by 7.

Not selling anyone short, they have been playing undisciplined, racking up penalties, etc. The past couple games they have improved They have tremendous talent I'm not underselling that but talent doesn't always translate into a win.

I agree with Pigskin. Graham has loads of talent, somewhat weak on the defensive line, but Raley coming back from injury and the transfer from Princeton at Middle Linebacker has allowed Graham to shift a few players around and the defensive looks much improved, but against sub par competition. True test is this Thursday. Nothing against Grahams staff but Richlands is always more prepared and makes better adjustments against the G men. Im hoping with a former Richlands coach on the staff, it will provide a little more insight

I dare say a former coach from Richlands can only help. I believe 19GHS87 said in another thread Palmer was a true student of the game and if that's so, I'm sure he's done his homework in preparation for this game. I just hope for a good, competitive, injury free game for both teams. With that said, go GMen!

Richlands will be playing with a heavy heart. A sophomore at the school took his own life Monday morning before school. Seems like bullying may have been an issue in his life. A horrible tragedy that I’m sure will be with a few of our players this week.
That's horrible news. Prayers for his family and the community.

Prayers for this young man's family and friends. Shame on those that bullied him, I hope the guilt is overwhelming and causes them to think how they treat others and the consequences. I have nothing for bullies or teachers, coaches, administrators, etc. who knowingly turn a blind eye to it because of a person's last name or community status. Such a senseless tragedy.

Yeah, we had a girl from the middle school a few years ago that had the same problem and outcome. Awful.

Graham really hasnt opened up the playbook this year. Hope to see a few new wrinkles.

Graham up 10-0 early. Had a td called back on first play anf had to settle for a fg in first drive.

Grahams defense is on point tonight!! Richlands has not crossed mid field. What a turn around for this defense this season. Very impressive performance so far.

Bluefield beat Richlands 44-10 an Graham over Richlands 45-zip. That Bluefield team would beat every 2A team in Virginia. Graham is now 12 points even better than that. I ain't sure any of the three including Union or RidgeValley is within 2 scores of the Raiders

I thought Graham fans were underselling their team. I wasn’t right. Graham may be the best team in 2D.

I wasn't trying to undersell them. I was frustrated that they hadn't really lived up to their true potential, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The Defense was lights out tonight. I also need to give credit where it's due and that is to Graham's coaching staff. I was for sure that Richlands would be more prepared for Graham than Graham would be for Richlands, but they proved me wrong. The coaches were very well prepared and shut down everything that Richlands tried to do.
Graham certainly is a dangerous team if they continue to play the way they played tonight. Playmakers all over the field on offense and if the defense continues it's current trend, they will be very hard to beat. Glad to see things coming together at the right time for Graham.

Wish Richlands the best of luck the rest of the way.

I've been to every Graham game and this is the best I've seen them play all season. I was like "Who is this team and where have they been?" Defense had their act completely together tonight! Shut Richlands down and I believe Tony Palmer may have picked Dennis Palmer's brain on how to best beat Richlands. i heard for years Palmer had a lot to do with Richland's success, I believe it wholeheartedly now. I'm sure any Richlands demons Graham had left in their heads, Palmer eradicated way before tonight. Great job Tony & staff and kudos to the boys that played like a boss!
