Ridgeview @ Abingdon

This game is huge for Ridgeview as a Wolfpack win would give the boys from Rose Ridge their first outright district championship in only the fourth year in existence. The win would almost assuredly also give the Pack the #1 seed in the Region 2D playoffs as Ridgeview has two very winnable games on the schedule after this week (Pike County Central, Kentucky and Honaker).

A win for Abingdon would stretch the district race out for one more week and possibly put Union in the drivers seat to get the 1 seed in the region.

So, let's discuss. Who wins it?

A 10-0 Ridgeview will DEFINITELY be the #1 seed in 2D, but will most likely lose out to Glenvar for home field throughout. I'm projecting Ridgeview to finish with 278-280 points. Glenvar will finish with a minimum of 276 pts and a maximum of 296 pts. I'm projecting 290.

A loss to the Falcons will mean a statistical dead heat with a 9-1 Union to get the 2D #1 seed with both losing out to Glenvar (barring an upset) for home field.

J.I. Burton's mild upset of Grundy produced a 4 pt rating swing in Union's favor.

While it would be awesome for Union to still have a shot at the #1 seed, I don't see the Pack losing this game.
