This scheduling business is getting crazier by the minute. As I had mentioned in another thread, last weekend a local paper stated very clearly that Rockbridge would be hosting Virginia High this Friday. They said it was a game that had been scheduled to replace a game that Rockbridge had to cancel earlier. So presumably VHS had a make up need as well.

Then I started seeing references to Virginia playing at Spotswood instead of Rockbridge. So earlier in the week I checked the Valley District website and it said that no, Spotswood is hosting Staunton River Friday night. That led me to believe that the paper had been correct and that RCHS would indeed be hosting VHS.

So are you ready for the latest twist? I just saw another reference saying that Virginia would be going to Spotswood, so once again I checked the Valley District website. As of 6:00 on Thursday night, 25 hours before kickoff, that website does not show Rockbridge as having a game AT ALL, but it shows Spotswood hosting BOTH VIRGINIA AND STAUNTON RIVER! Both kickoffs are set for 7:00 tomorrow night in Penn Laird. Won't it be interesting to see how they pull THAT one off?

You can't make this crap up but somebody HAS to know the actual facts of the matter. I don't have a dog in any of those fights, but for Pete's sake, who if anybody will Rockbridge and Spotswood be hosting tomorrow night????

Staunton River @ Spotswood was CCD on Mon., leading to Va. High @ Spotswood.
I think Rockbridge has been open all along - I never saw a tweet from them OR Va. High saying they were playing.

I can't speak to these particular games, but a lot of those district sites pull the info off of rschoolteams and can take a few days to update. They also do weird things like just push last year's rosters out, and add a grade, so you end up with people in 13th grade. Long story short, don't trust those sites, especially in a pandemic when things change by the hour.
