Marasco Excited For New Era At Rocktown

After Harrisonburg’s season-ending loss in the Region 5D boys soccer semifinals, it took some time for head coach Anthony Marasco to understand that a decision had to be made on his coaching future.

It wasn’t an easy choice for the four-year HHS head coach, as Marasco helped guide the Blue Streaks to a litany of success and multiple postseason runs.

But when he was provided an opportunity to teach at Rocktown, the new school set to open in Harrisonburg this fall, it opened Marasco’s eyes.

Sure enough, Marasco decided to jump on board with the Raptors, as the school announced last Thursday that he would be Rocktown’s first-ever varsity boys soccer head coach and head golf coach.

The newest coach to join the lineup are Kevin Navedo for baseball
Coach Navedo served as an assistant coach for Harrisonburg High School during the 2022-23 season.
Coach Navedo recently served as an assistant coach at Bridgewater College.
