The Harrisonburg paper reported today that Rocktown recorded its first-ever Varsity win earlier this week when their girls volleyball team traveled to Page County and swept the Lady Panthers in three sets. It has a very nice campus, one that we Riverheads folks will get to see up close and personal in a few weeks.

While I like the name and mascot I don't get the color scheme. Red and Black is shared locally with East Rock, Riverheads and Stonewall Jackson. Then just a tad in either direction you have James River and Sherando. I know their is a limited number of color combinations but maybe something like light/baby blue and yellow like UCLA or even Orange and Purple like Clemson. Both would stand out and be unique to the area if not the state. I know Clarke uses Orange and Waynesboro/Stasburg uses Purple but they don't use Orange. Also Page and I believe Skyline uses Light Blue but not with yellow.
