In a much closer than anticipated game, Rye Cove finally pulled away and won handily against the winless Eastside Spartans. Landon Lane led the way offensively for the Eagles with 113 yards passing and 64 yards rushing with 3 total touchdowns. Will Rollins carried 13 times for 72 yards and Payton Darnell seemed to have limited time tonight carrying 5 times for 51 yards and 3 total touchdowns (2 rushing, 1 receiving). The longest play of the night was an 86 yard pick six by Eastside on the last play of the first half. Rye Cove will have 2 weeks off as of now due to Twin Valley forfeiting their season.
