Ramsey played quite a bit. Looked good. Salem played reserves and all runs the 4th quarter.

Prob 55-0 or so on a dry field. Team is talented but inconsistent, need to start the game better. Despite the score, FC played hard.

LBs improved a ton this week. Will need to step it up even more to be effective next week. I felt like the safeties didn't play as well as they did against Amherst.

The offense looked really explosive in the second half, especially out of the split back formation with Owen and Ramsey in the backfield. Gladden struggled quite a bit tonight. They will need him to be way better to have a chance next week.

Franklin County had success running the ball in the first half. They moved effectively between the thirties. They also had a nice first down off a fake punt in the last two minutes of the half. Salem moved the ball at will, but lost a fumble, and came away with no points on another drive where Gladden underthrew an open Wade in the end zone on first down. A missed field goal resulted. All of those things combined to keep the score down to 15-0 at half.

The third quarter was all Salem. Aside from one big play of 48 yards, the Spartans did a good job of shutting down the Eagles' running game. FC had virtually no offense aside from that one big play after halftime. Salem again moved the ball easily, and Owen had a punt return for a TD as the third quarter ended. Salem's starters were done at that point.

The deep passing game was off tonight, and Gladden's passing seemed adversely affected by the conditions, particularly in the first half. Kraft also had a tough night, missing both field goal attempts and an extra point. Of course, the weather was less than optimal for kicking the ball. The defense tightened up as the game went along, and Salem generally ran the ball well.

Not sure how much can really be gleaned from this one, given that FC isn't all that good. Salem just had to get through this week to get to next week. They won, and neither side had any apparent injuries. Call it a success.

Just a really ugly game even for such a win I thought. Weather definitely slowed up the passing game and Gladden has to get a little more zip on his passes IMO.
Two rare misses by Craft def affected by the wet conditions. Snaps look a bit slow and the holder seems to have trouble getting it down which has got to affect his timing. Looks like he got really frustrated on the field and he must keep that in check..Got to get that snap/hold straight as that could be a problem in when you need that kick.
Owen is coming into his own running the ball it seems tough just to get him on the ground and with Ramsey and Hale pounding the middle, they are going to hurt some defenses since you can't stop them all. A good win but plenty to work on before the Generals come to town....
