I wanted to post this as a testament to the hard work the Salem team put in ! Also, I heard Coach Maghenbauer state that this team incurred more injuries during the year than any team he had coached ! He also stated that you never know how much a team will work but after Christmas break he saw the look in the seniors eyes and they never missed a weighlifting session and this funneled down to the underclassman ! He also said the greatness of the Lake Taylor team , including the talent and how well they are coached , was a challenge for the Spartans but the whole team accepted that challenge and this game represents how a state championship should be ! Salem also has several great assistants , including one in the video , Brandon Keith , seen hugging Coach Maghenbauer ! The whole team stepped up , including the starters , backups , special teams , and the coaches !
