Salem to up their concession game

In addition to the usual fair of hot dogs and sodas Salem will be offering giant turkey legs, hamburgers, shaved ice, and kettle corn. This along with the usual tailgating could add some girth to many of the Spartan fans.
No offense to the Lions' hot dogs, but it's about time they have more options at the game!

The clouds parted and the heavenly hosts sang Hallelujah!!!

So did everyone else who ever visited Salem Stadium!!!

Any suggestions on where Navy and I can get a decent bite to eat near Maury Field tomorrow evening?

There are lots of good places to go in the Burg but if I had to pick one it would the Le Petite Auberge on William Street. It may be pricey for some but worth every dime. The owners are personnal friends of mine and former neighbors. Nothing you order there will be bad. It will be exceptional. The scallops with orange sauce are my recipe but Andre will never admit that.

For the game, park on the upper part of Brumpton St. Off Kenmore Avenue and facing West. It is a very easy and casual walk form there. The escape is even easier. Make a left at the light and you're on 95 in 5 minutes. Leave with two minutes to go in the game. You can see the game all the way down the walk on Kenmore. Stop near the end of the concession stand goal line. All the local, non paying patrons sit here but they're damn close to the best seat in the house. You won't miss a beat. Another bene here. Best PA announcer in VA. IMO

I've picked Dinwiddie in this game. They have a great squad, Coaching and talent. But this is JM. Beating them at Serbay field is double hard. Beat them all night and they can still win. GL to both Friday. Fortunately, this whole game is streamed. I love it.

Sweet. Hawks play at Sherando this year. Might have to take that Italian Sausage to go, though.

Thank you!

I have family from there. We always go to Allman's bbq and definitely go to Carl's custard. It's legendary!!
Karl's is a legend. There is always a Line. Always. Don't be alarmed if it wraps around the building. It moves quickly. But there is no custard. They are ice cream. Best milk shake ever. I am 62, from NY and a world traveler. But this is an absolute must. Brain freeze and orgasm at the same time. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing but DAmN!

Chocolate is pure magical!!

Thank you!
Salemgal brought up a good point. Make time for Karl's. You'll be glad you did. It will still be open after the game. Don't be intimidated by the line. Even at 10pm, it will wrap around the building but if you don't do this, it will be like going to Paris and not visiting the Louvre. Why do you think that line is there at 10PM?

Also remember, 2 minutes to go and up by 10 should be pretty comfortable for most teams. But this is JM. The game is not close to over. Miracles are rare and few ever get to actually see one. But for the fans at Maury, it's common place. The Jackets are the most dangerous down team I have ever seen. EVER.

GL to both this evening.
