Saturday Weather ?

Weather now calling for severe weather along with rain on Saturday. Any chance these games moved to Sunday ? Hate to have an evacuation of Salem Stadium , that would be a mess ! Any one heard of any changes ?

Looks like a about 71 for a high around noon, with a 60% chance of showers. Not bad for mid December. What looks severe about that?

Going by the weather channel . Any delay in the first game means that much more delay in the second one .

The Charlottesville TV station says the best chance for rain on Saturday will be "evening" into Sunday. Now of course I realize that C'ville and Salem are not that close to one another and that "evening" can cover a lot of territory, but we still might squeak through without any major problems.

It would have to be a heck of a delay since first game will end around 2:30 and 2nd game doesnt start until 4:30.

The gap in time between games is too much and should be changed to second game starting at 4 atleast.

I despise that about the state title setups. Sitting there freezing your butt off between games for 2+ hours.

Have the concessions improved at all at Salem? The last time I went I believe we opted for some half stale popcorn.

I haven't looked into yet. With the online ticket sales, does buying a ticket still good for both games? Or do you have to leave and buy another ticket if staying for both games?

The first teams have to be completely out before the second teams are even allowed to pull their busses up. I agree that it stinks but it is the only way to do it if they are going to hold it in Salem.

I agree, I think they do it so people that want to go to both games leave and come back so they get that extra $. I know last few years I went for both games but didnt want to sit there for 2 hrs so we left and got lunch then paid again.

Makes sense. But it still royally sucks. At least get some better food options at the stadium. Perhaps that part has changed since the last time I was there.

They should get a bunch of food trucks from the Roanoke Valley and have them set up shop at the stadium for that 2 hour lull between games. They could give 10% back to the Salem Boosters club and folks would have better food options between games. It would be a win-win for both sides.
