We made the long trip down to Green Run today for the three team scrimmage. Oscar Smith, Green Run, and Dinwiddie. All three teams are plenty stout again this year.
My main takeaway? Thank God I don’t have to drive in Tidewater traffic everyday.
The Green Run QB appears to be a really good athlete. Fast, elusive, and accurate.
When Dinwiddie's kicker, Van Meter, graduated, I was a little worried. But, we may have not one, but two really good kickers.
I was impressed at the size of the crowd. I guess everybody is just ready for some football.
I assume that the Green Run turf is brand new? I liked the way it felt. It seemed to feel more like real grass than any I remember.
Dinwiddie looks solid and well balanced. Harry Daulton might be getting much of the attention, but he is only one of many impressive players.
And finally, it was great to see Matt. I almost didn’t recognize him. He has slimed down tremendously and looks great. Proud of you Matt.
