Warriors looked good tonight outside of a handful of bad penalties. No love lost between these two programs lol. Didn't look like Millbrook had any sort of passing game, and I have no idea how they played Kettle Run close until the 4th quarter.
Had Sherando not been playing tonight I might've taken the short trip up to WV to watch the Martinsburg/Spring Mills game. Spring Mills is also located in Martinsburg and is finally starting to reach their potential. Both teams were undefeated coming into the game, with Spring Mills having outscored opponents 331-6 up until this point. WV as a whole isn't close to VA in terms of overall talent, but these two teams are much closer to the good 5A NOVA teams in size and speed than a typical good WV team. Apparently this was the line to get into the stadium two hours prior to kickoff:
Heard on the broadcast that over 7,000 people showed up for the game, and having watched it on YT I'd imagine that's conservative. Over 4,500 people watched the stream live. The only time I've seen that kind of crowd in Stephens City was for the 2007 Sherando/James Wood playoff game.
Martinsburg won 17-12.
